Nature Explore Classroom Tour

11:30 a.m. Learn about Connecticut's first Nature Explore Classroom sponsored by Arbor Day Foundation, Dimensions Educational Research, PepsiCo and Keep America Beautiful. Children's Education Director, Todd DuPont will lead a tour and discuss the impact the Nature Explore Classroom has had on the young learners in southern Connecticut. Please meet in the Vegetable Garden behind the greenhouse at 11:30.

Tour the Vegetable Garden

11:00 a.m. University of Connecticut Advanced Master Gardeners Eve Mauger, Cynthia Lupo and Elaine Hjelte, who have designed and led the maintenance team of the Bartlett’s Vegetable Garden, will talk about Spring harvesting of early season vegetables and strategies for controlling insect damage without use of pesticides. Please meet in front of the Silver Education Center.
