The Arboretum is the only location in Fairfield County to offer these courses. Space is limited. Register early.
The Bartlett Arboretum offers comprehensive instruction in the care and maintenance of trees. Offered in English and Spanish. The course prepare individuals who are planning to take the Connecticut Arborist Licensing Examination given by the Department of Environmental Protection. Students who attend class, read the assigned materials and work with the instructors can expect to do well on the Connecticut Arborist Exam.
Instructors are regarded professionals in their fields, hailing from New York Botanical Garden, UConn, CT Agriculture Experiment Station, and Bartlett Tree Expert Company.
The Spanish section of the this program offers training for arborists and turf managers begins January 6th 2016. The program runs Monday, Wednesday, Friday in the evenings at Bartlett Arboretum & Gardens.
The English section of this program begins February 16th 2016. The program runs Tuesdays and Thursdays in the evenings at Bartlett Arboretum & Gardens.
