As a Bartlett member, you have access to our knowledgeable arborists, horticulturists, classes, lectures and workshops, childrens programs and summer camp, discounts at local nurseries, renowned plant sales, seasonal festivals and events, extensive library, woodland trails and, of course, the simple and magnificent beauty of our 91-acre gardens and grounds.
As the world around us becomes ever more developed, our gardens and woodland trails offer the beauty and serenity of unspoiled nature.
Whether walking the trails, examining our plant collections or attending a class on insects, the Bartlett gives you the opportunity to unwind alone or with your family.
The Bartlett Arboretum & Gardens is a wonderful place for you and your family to discover and enjoy nature. We offer hands-on educational programs and a highly-acclaimed summer environmental camp for children. A simple walk through the woodland trails, Family Adventure Packs and monthly Family Day events help you discover nature together. Bartlett membership is your passport to discover the natural world.
The Bartlett Arboretum & Gardens is a 91-acre nature preserve
located in North Stamford. Open year-round to visitors and students
of natural history and horticulture, the property was once the home
of noted tree expert, Dr. Francis Bartlett.
The Bartlett is a unique arboretum in that it contains thousands
of plants, including several 'champion' trees - the largest of their species
in the area. It also houses a large permanent collection of plants from around
the world in its greenhouse and gardens. The pond, swamp and stream provide
a positive environment for sustaining abundant wildlife. All Bartlett programs
focus on the inter-relationship of people, their gardens and landscapes, and
the natural world around them.
