Soil 101 and Houseplant Repotting Workshop

Let’s roll up our sleeves and dig in!

This workshop will simplify and demystify soil.  We will discuss best practices for successful, environmentally friendly gardening, indoors and out.  This includes formation, hydration needs and techniques, fertilization, nutrient testing, and more.   

Bring your houseplant to this workshop and our experts will help you rehab and re-pot.

About the Instructor: Toni Simonetti, Certified UCONN Master Gardener, is a lead greenhouse volunteer at the Bartlett, where she propagates more than 1,000 plants each year, primarily species native to Connecticut, as well as overwintering the Bartlett's tropical and cactus collections. In addition to her duties at the Bartlett, Toni is also a Conservation Volunteer at the Scalzi Riverwalk Nature Preserve in Stamford and Membership Chair at Westport Community Garden.

Cancellation Policy: In the event, the Arboretum cancels a program or event, a full refund will be issued. If the program or event occurs as scheduled, individual refunds may be issued up to 5 days prior to the program or event start date.
