Colored pencil is a versatile drawing medium: the materials are simple and the work is immediate, making it an excellent choice for capturing the beauty of plant life in color.
You’ll learn fundamental techniques such as working in layers to achieve rich, dense hues; using a tonal foundation before adding color; and burnishing to mimic the look of a painting. Explore a variety of effects to draw the patterns and textures found in flowers, plants, mushrooms, fruits and/or vegetables. Some drawing experience is recommended. Participants are responsible for purchasing their own materials. A materials list and Zoom link will be provided.
