In 1965 the State of Connecticut purchased F.A. Bartlett’s home and property, setting in motion the establishment of what today is the Bartlett Arboretum & Gardens.

To celebrate this milestone, the Bartlett is offering a year of special programming that we hope inspires a life-long and meaning full connection to this special place.

60 Years/60 Trees

This series of six walks, one every other month, is designed to tell the story of this organization through its trees. Some are Notable and Champion trees and some are simply storied and dear to the people who have worked or volunteered here over the years. The list was chosen by a team of volunteers, UCONN Master Gardeners, staff, and board members.
