  • Bartlett Arboretum & Gardens 151 Brookdale Road Stamford, CT 06903 (map)

Meet Professor Pricklethorn!

Children and families are welcome to attend this free presentation where Professor Pricklethorn- real name Warren Hoselton- will talk all about the importance of trees in our communities, tree science, and why planting the right tree in the right place is so important. Pricklethorn’s presentation is entertaining and informative for people of all ages who would like to learn more about trees.

This educational event is being done as part of the kick-off to the Tour des Trees bike ride that will be starting in Stamford the next morning. The bike ride benefits the Tree Research and Education Endowment Fund (TREE Fund).  Riders will be taken on a five-day, 430-mile route starting in Stamford, crossing Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts before ending in Providence. Riders will also interact with the public at other various community events along the way. This year’s ride has attracted 84 riders from all over the United States plus Canada and the United Kingdom.
